The gap
That lemon-burst dishwashing liquid, the “spring” laundry, the vanilla body wash — a lot of it is undisclosed fragrance. Some of those chemicals are linked to hormone disruption, and they sit on plates, clothes, and skin.
Bare Country leaves them out. What you get is plant-based cleaning and washing that smells like the ingredients, or like nothing at all.

Glass looks beautiful and costs a fortune to ship. We are choosing between three packs that stay light, stay cheap, and can actually be recycled here — not in a hypothetical European bin.
The one we would use
A light recycled bottle stays on the bench. Repeats arrive as fibre cartons you pour in. Mostly paper, yellow-bin in Australia, and far less plastic than buying a new bottle every month.

The lightest thing we can post. Soft plastic still does not go in most yellow bins — supermarket drop-off if you can. Honest, but not our first pick for Australian kerbside.

Simplest. Recycled Australian PET or HDPE, kraft label, yellow bin when empty. No refill habit to learn — and more plastic on the truck than a carton refill.
How we would start
Recycled Australian PET or HDPE for the keep bottle — the same plastics already in the yellow bin from milk and soft-drink. Paper refill cartons for the top-up. Independent studies on this carton style show about half the plastic of a pouch, and a fraction of a new bottle every time.
The all-purpose spray keeps its trigger bottle; you refill it with a concentrate. Pumps unscrew so the bottle can go in the bin on its own.
Left on the shelf: glass (too heavy to post on a budget) and aluminium (dearer, maybe later).

Nothing is added to make a “scent”. Some bottles may carry a faint plant smell from the ingredients themselves — lemon myrtle, oils, that sort of thing. No perfume, no lingering room-cloud.

The keep bottle is PET or HDPE — yellow bin, rinsed, in nearly every Australian council. Paper refill cartons go in the same bin. Pumps unscrew; the bottle recycles, the pump is mixed-material so it is the honest weak point. Soft pouches still need supermarket drop-off, which is why they are not our first pick.
Glass is heavy, breakable, and turns postage into a luxury. We would rather a light recycled bottle that actually gets used, and a paper refill that posts to the regions without a freight penalty.
